Noah M. Bowman of RR 1, Elora, in his 89th year, peacefully entered glory at his residence on Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Edna (Shantz) Bowman (August 2009). Loving father of Mildred (Leonard) Martin of Alma, Karen Brubacher of Floradale, Elaine (Earl) Martin and Larry (Wilma) Bowman, all of Elora. Dear grandfather to 16 grandchildren; their partners; and 37 great-grandchildren. Noah was the last surviving member of his family having been predeceased by his parents Peter and Nancy (Martin) Bowman and his brothers Absolam, Orvie, Aden, Peter and Samuel. Noah was also predeceased by his son Dennis, his son-in-law Wayne Brubacher and four infant granddaughters. The family received their friends and relatives at Crystal View Mennonite Church, Floradale on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 1-5pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service was held on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 2:30pm followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Pastor Mark Brubacher officiated. In his memory, donations to the Ontario Gospel Echoes Team or Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The family wishes to acknowledge the special care of Dr. R. A. Simpson, his staff and all the kind people who through CCAC made it possible to care for Dad at home.
