Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Wellington officially wound up its 2010 Bowl for Kids Campaign on March 7.

“It was an amazing day with teams from Arthur and area with a strong showing from Alma and a couple of teams from Harriston and Mount Forest who were unable to bowl on their specific day,” said organizer Marnie Mainland.

“We were delighted to have 37 teams out to help us raise $17,861, making our campaign total at $56,861.

“We are so very appreciative of our generous communities, the wonderful press coverage and the fact that we have a facility  like the Mount Forest Bowling lanes to work with.”

Mainland said residents should watch for an “official thank-you” and invitation to the Awards breakfast, which will be held on April 24 in Mount Forest (location to be announced).

“The winners will be notified but everyone is welcome,” said Mainland.
