Bott, Arden Robert; 58, of Mitchell passed away peacefully surroundedby his family at Toronto General Hospital on Thursday, September 18, 2008. Beloved husband of Denise (Awrey) Bott. Dear father of Shelley (Bob) Scott, Tara (Aron) Van Pelt, all of Mitchell and Mike Bott (Pam Haasen) of London. Loving grandfather of Storee and Kason Scott, Neve and Luken Van Pelt. Dear step-son on Winnifred Bott of Palmerston. Dear brother of Judith (Don) Stumpf of Elora, Larry (Shirley) Bott of Kitchener, Rosalyn (Dennis) Edwards of Calgary and John (Vivian) Bott of Manitoba. Dear brother-in-law of Marg (Jerry) Dillow of Stratford and Larry (Reta) Awrey of Windsor. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Verna (Cudney) Bott. Arden was an owner-operator trucking for Parmalat in Mitchell for over 20 years. Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held at Elgin Missionary Church, Stratford on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ralph VanOostveen officiating. Pall bearers were Bryant Taylor, Bob Lumley, Harry Towle, Brian Weadick, Larry Weir and Earl Ehgoetz. Interment was in Knox Presbyterian Cemetery, Mitchell followed by a reception at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Memorial donations to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or Lung Association would be appreciated.
