ARKELL – Four years ago George Pulleyblank, 11, approached Puslinch Mayor James Seeley and said, “Mr. Mayor, I want a new park.”

On Oct. 20, that wish became a reality as Pulleyblank, along with the mayor, councillors and Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott officially opened Boreham Park in Arkell. The new park boasts two slides, a shade structure and picnic tables, swings, a climber and new trees, and is now AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliant. The township received an Ontario Trillium grant for $150,000, which made the park upgrade possible, Seeley said.
