HARRISTON – After a two-year hiatus, The Minto Arts Council is hosting a live music event, the latest in the council’s Basement Café series.

The show, Boreal Goes Botanical, is on May 13 at 7pm at the Crown Harriston Cultural Centre.

On stage will be renowned Canadian singer-songwriters Katherine Wheatley, Tannis Slimmon and Angie Nussey with their folk music group Boreal.

Following their many years of successful Songs for the Snowy Season performances, Boreal has created a new show for the warmer months called Boreal Goes Botanical.

“Their arresting vocals, catchy melodies, great guitar playing and quirky humour are a hit with audiences who readily connect to their warm persona and music,” arts council officials state.

"Theirs is a performance well worth hearing."

Tickets are available in advance on Eventbrite at boreal-goes-botanical.eventbrite.ca, or at the door for $20 plus tax.

The Crown Harriston is located at 23 Elora Street South, Harriston. Doors open at 6 pm. The show is a licensed event.
