Blair Masonic Lodge makes donations to support community

Lions Club donation – Blair Masonic Lodge #314 recently made a generous donation of $10,000 to the Palmerston Lions Club for the purchase and installation of a swing set with a special play-share seat. Two more basketball nets, and paint to re-do the mural on the basketball court are also part of the donation.

Hospital donation – Blair Masonic Lodge #314 recently made a generous donation of $55,000 to the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation for the purchase of two urinalysis analyzers plus interface for the laboratory, a -30C upright freezer, a counter top water and ice dispensing machine for the patient floor, and a medication packager for the pharmacy. Dale Franklin, development officer for the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation, accepted the cheque from Scotty Forbes, on behalf of Blair Masonic Lodge. Other lodge members are, from left: Paul Brown, Gerald Metzger, Curly Wright, Hugh Thompson, Mark Robinson and Allan Toner.

 

New playground swing – A new piece of playground equipment has recently been installed in the Palmerston Lions Heritage Park thanks to a donation from Blair Masonic Lodge. The swing set has a special play-share seat allowing a parent to sit in front of a young child and swing. From left: Luke Romzek on swing, Mike Romzek, Faith Romzek and John Hoogendoorn.
