BLACK, John “Jack” Winton.Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on October 8, 2015 at Wellington Terrace in his 88th year.Born on November 16, 1927 in Toronto, Ontario to the late John and Cady (nee Winton) Black. Beloved husband to Velma (nee Lillie). Loving father to Pamela Hyde and her husband Dave, Steven Black and his late wife Brenda, Wendy Butland and her late husband Brian and Tim Black. Proud grandfather to Krystal, Patricia, Erika, Nickolas, Jacklyn (Dave), Aaron, Christopher, Johnathon, Matthew and great grandfather to Alexis, Zachary, Alanna, MacKenzie, Eleanor, and Grayson. Dear brother to the late Jim Black (the late Elizabeth), the late Bob Black (Norma), Olive Roberts, Fred Black (Delores) and Mary Glenn (Val). Also survived and missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends were invited to share their memories of Jack with his family during the visitation at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service took place on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fergus at 10:30 a.m. Rev. David Whitecross officiated. Interment at Belsyde Cemetery.
