Appreciation night - Big Brothers Big Sisters have operated mentoring programs across Canada for 106 years. In northern Wellington County the local chapter has served children and youth for over 40 years, Executive Director Marianne Christie said at the opening of the organization’s Mentor Appreciation evening on Sept. 17. Big Brothers, Big Sisters and In-School Mentors were honoured for their volunteer commitment to their matches and to the organization.

On Sept. 18 Big Brothers Big Sisters was reinvented and reintroduced to the world, from the seaports of Vancouver to the rugged shores of St. John’s and include right here in North Wellington county, organizers invited the public to view its new launch video on Facebook and check out its new website at:  https://northwellington.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca/  Volunteers are currently being recruited for Bigs and In-School mentors.  Kids are waiting for mentors to ignite their potential.  For more information, call 519-323-4273.
