While most of Wellington North council has little concern with proposed severances on a property at the northern end of Arthur, its township Works Manage Gary Williamson has worries with additional driveways on a curved section of Highway 6.
Correspondence from the Wellington County Planning Department noted the applications made by John and Mary Walsh, who own the property adjacent to the north end water tower in Arthur.
Correspondence from Williamson did not support the creation of three lots, but he was willing to support two.
His reasoning is the additional laneways that would enter onto a curved section of highway.
Councillor John Matusinec said he actually has no problem with the creation of three lots, but agreed there is the curve in the highway to consider.
Councillor Dan Yake supported Williamson’s comments.  Council will pass along its comments to the Wellington County planning committee.
