Beckham (nee Prentice) Ann Marie
Beckham (nee Prentice) Ann Marie; of Elora passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 19, 2014. She was raised in London, Ontario and attended the University of Western Ontario to complete a degree in music with a speciality in vocals. Ann Marie and her husband Dr. Lloyd Maurice Beckham (deceased, 2011) shared 62 years and a lifetime love of music. She was a loving mother to Scott (Susan), Brenda (Phil), Mark (Denise) and Richard. Ann Marie took great pride in her role as Grandma and “Gummy” to her three grandchildren, Kathleen, Prentice and Molly. Her love of Christmas led her to open a store in Elora in 1978. She became very involved in the community and enjoyed each and every relationship made. Finally we would like to express our gratitude to the amazing staff and volunteers at the Wellington Terrace, especially those who Ann Marie encountered in the Apple Valley wing. Visitation took place at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church Street, Elora, on Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 from 2:00-3:00pm. A funeral service followed in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 pm.
