BBC Ceilidh to get larger venue for Dec. 13 feature on town

Due to the large number of persons indicating they plan to attend the Ceilidh planned as part of the BBC’s film shoot here, there has been a change of venue for the event.

Originally planned for the Fergus Community Market, the BBC will now film the Ceilidh in the Fellowship Hall at Melville United Church, at the corner of Tower and St. Andrew Streets.

That hall has the capacity to seat 150 people.

Every seat is expected to be filled as word continues to spread about the quality of entertainment and the BBC’s presence.

The doors will open early on Dec. 13. Entertainment will begin at 6pm. Admission is by donation.

The money collected will help pay expenses incurred. Food, sweets and refreshments will be available at a reasonable cost.
