BAWDEN, Bruce

Of Drayton passed away peacefully at the Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in his 93rd year.  Beloved husband of the late Elvira Bawden (2021) for 65 years. Dear father of Brian and Liz Bawden of Hammond, N.Y., Wayne Bawden and Andrea Ludwig of Uxbridge, Lynn Siefert and Jamie Dunn of Listowel and Kathy and Ron Fletcher of Drayton. Cherished grandfather of Krystle and Ben Harnden, Nathan and Courtney Bawden; Miriam Bawden- Ludwig and Maia Bawden-Ludwig; Becky and Brad Smith, Tyler and Sherise Siefert; Sarah and Chris Crowe, Matt and Lynda Fletcher and Jenna and Cory Struyk. Great grandfather of Abigale, Taylor, Cooper, Mason, Jayke, Brycen, Brielle, Harper, Rae and Weston. Brother of Noreen and Tim McGinnis and brother-in-law of Bruce and Pat Barnes. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his great grandson Ryker in infancy, parents Harry and Annie Bawden and sister Verna Robbins and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Betty and Viggo Fulsang and Nip and Colleen Gervais. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00pm. The funeral service was held in the Drayton United Church on Monday, January 26, 2025 at 11:00am. Spring interment Drayton Cemetery. Conestogo Lodge # 295 conducted a Masonic Service on Sunday at 4:15pm. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Drayton United Church would be appreciated by the family.
