Barry McCarthy show runs to April 30
Centre Wellington artist Barry McCarthy opened a new show here on April 18 at the Loch Gallery at 16 Hazelton Avenue.
McCarthy has based his subject matter over the years on the east coast and Centre Wellington, particularly the Elora gorge, and has developed an outstanding watercolour technique to convey the soft impressionist light.
In his current work, he has also turned to oil painting and refined the light and transparency that made his watercolours so memorable.
