BARNES, Peter Frederick of Guelph. August 30, 1937 - June 8, 2016. Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton with his loving wife June (nee Baines) of 57 years by his side. Loving father to Andrew (Linda) Barnes, Angela (Brian) Reid, Nick (Penny) Barnes. Loving Pops to Jason (Jasmin) Reid, Kyle (Lora) Reid, Jamie and Ashley Barnes. Loving Great Pops to Ella and Parker Reid. Predeceased by his father and mother Stanley & Olive (nee Oxley), his sister Barbara Monkhouse (nee Barnes). Loving brother to Sheila Hodgson (nee Barnes). Peter will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by family and friends. Friends and family will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, on Saturday June 18th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be held in the Fellowship lounge at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be much appreciated.
