Ballet Jorgen

Local dancer Anna Ricketts, right, recently auditioned with Canada’s Ballet Jorgen to perform in the production of Coppelia. Ricketts was one of four dancers selected from the large auditioning group and has landed a part in Ballet Jorgan’s local participant program. She will be performing on Jan. 20 at the River Run Centre in Guelph. Ricketts trains under Kristen Dahl, left, at Stage Presence School of Dance in Fergus. This is Dahl’s second dancer to land a role in Coppelia - Hailey Crawford performed the role in Cambridge in September. She has also had several dancers participate in Ballet Jorgen’s rendition of The Nutcracker, most recently Aliyah Schleen and Emma Hahn this past December.    Submitted photo
