Ballagh Bunch performs in Clifford

The Ballagh Bunch from Teeswater entertained the crowd with their unique brand of humour, music, dance, and showmanship on Nov. 13 at Knox United Church in Clifford.

Close to 60 started their evening with the casserole supper downstairs in the Salem Room before heading upstairs to the concert.

Bass guitarist Gary Ballagh shared a number of humourous tales and introduced each song or lively step dancing number performed by his wife Jan, daughters Devan and Paige, and son Matthew.

The family members  took their turn singing, step dancing, or playing the keyboard, drums, fiddles, or guitar.

Their fondness for eastern Canadian music showed especially in their French Canadian fiddle medley.

Other favourites included Jenny’s Chickens, Sweet Pea, and Streets of London, bluegrass tunes, and religious hymns.
