Balinafad area road work expected to cause traffic delays
ERIN - Rehabilitation of Ballinafad Culvert and improvements on Wellington Road 42 (32 Side Road) at Wellington Road 24 (Trafalgar Road) intersection, in the Town of Erin and Town of Halton Hills, are set to begin construction on Aug. 21. The work will be completed by Cox Construction Ltd. of Guelph
A notice from the County of Wellington roads department states travelling public can expect lane reductions at the intersection location.
“Delays are expected and the use of an alternate route is recommended,” the notice states.
A road closure (no emergency access) will be in effect at the Ballinafad culvert location (approximately 0.14km east of the intersection) on Wellington Road 42 from Aug. 21 until November.
Traffic will be re-routed along a detour route, which utilizes Wellington Road 24 (Trafalgar Road), Side Road 5 and Ninth Line.
