Baker, Alun; of Fergus, formerly of Halstead England,  passed away on Tuesday, August 25/09 at the age of 67 of cancer.  He will be remembered as the cherished husband of Valerie (nee Wooster) of 45 years. He was the much loved father of Colin and his wife Heidi, Nigel and his wife Janice, and sadly missed grandfather “Pop” of Nate, Annelise, Kenzie, Andrea, Charlotte, Matthew and Ian.  Alun is survived by twin siblings David Baker and Ann Leitch, both of England. Alun’s contagious laughter will be greatly missed by his many relations, friends and business associates.  Alun was loved for his strong Christian faith, servant’s heart, integrity, solid ethics and great sense of humour. Alun, together with his wife Valerie, started Nutritional Feed Additives serving the agricultural feed industry in Canada and abroad.  Over the years, Alun was faithfully involved in many ways in the local Christian community, most recently as a director on the board of Michael House Pregnancy Care Centre. Family will receive friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. S. Fergus, on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be conducted at the Elora Road Christian Fellowship, 5696 Wellington County Road 7 (Elora Road) on Wednesday, September 9 at 11am. Donations to the Michael House would be appreciated by the family. Cards available at the funeral home.
