New Badley Bridge in Elora to open Dec. 18
ELORA - The new Badley Bridge in Elora will open to traffic on Dec. 18.
County of Wellington construction manager Joe de Koning announced on Dec. 7 the opening will allow two-way vehicle traffic with pedestrian access limited to the west side of the bridge.
Construction work will continue beyond Dec. 18, de Koning notes, including completion of the east side bridge railing, retaining walls, and installation of the gateway feature and cleanup.
The county is planning an official bridge opening in 2021.
The bridge has been closed to traffic since Jan. 6.
