BADENOCH – The Badenoch Christmas Craft Sale is right around the corner.
Slated for Nov. 22 and Nov. 23 from 10am to 3pm, the annual Christmas sale is the ideal place to pick up gifts for others and items for yourself, officials say.
There will be about a dozen vendors, all selling hand-crafted items. Wooden articles, sewn items, decorative plates, house plants, hand-made cards, knitted sock and stained glass are just some of the items on offer made by local artisans.
The venue itself is worth checking out too, said Florence Peer, who organizes the event.
The Badenoch Community Centre was once a one-room schoolhouse. It closed in 1965 and lives on as a community centre and event venue.
Now 82, Peer went to school there for eight years.
She said it’s “charming” with original windows and maple floors and blackboards still on the walls.
Once it’s decked out for Christmas, the Badenoch Community Centre becomes a Christmas wonderland, officials say.
The community centre is located at 4217 Watson Rd. S. in Puslinch.
