MINTO – Town residents gathered at the Palmerston Arena bright and early to learn about a reconstruction plan for Main Street East and West on Oct. 30. 

ERIN – To address existing water demands and future growth projections, Erin council has unanimously supported a resolution for a new municipal well.

MAPLETON – This recently graduated high school student became an author at 16 and is already set to release her second book.

MOUNT FOREST – Crystal Steffler and John Ray share a passion for bettering their communities. And that passion was recognized on Oct. 18 during the Mount Forest Chamber of Commerce's Excellence Awards ceremony.

MINTO – Following a notice of motion from Mayor Dave Turton, next year Minto council meetings have been changed to 3pm with one 7pm meeting held during February, April, June, October and December. 

ABOYNE – Paul Kelly was recognized  last weekend by the Wellington County Historical Society for being inducted to the Ontario Agriculture Hall of Fame. 

ERIN – A young woman from Erin with Olympic aspirations has been recognized by the RBC Training Ground competition in the sport of rugby.

ARTHUR – Local dignitaries, political leaders, family and friends all joined the Aziz family in celebrating the Amir Quality Meats business expanding into Arthur on Oct. 10.

MOUNT FOREST – The 23rd annual CKNX Health Care Heroes Radiothon will broadcast in support of eight midwestern Ontario hospital foundations on Oct. 19 from 9am to 4pm.
