Author to discuss social networking and relationship building at Fergus library event

Author and media personality Kelly Hoey will discuss networking and relationship building in the digital age during a presentation on March 9 at the Fergus Branch Library.

Hoey will offer a new approach to networking as more than just schmoozing and LinkedIn. The presentation will provide innovative insights into strategies to help form genuine relationships and how to use your network to accomplish any goal – from a major career change to launching a startup to crowdfunding a project. The presentation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

Hoey, author of Build Your Dream Network has been featured in Forbes and Fast Company.

She’s also appeared on CNBC’s Power Pitch, is a Inc.com columnist and tweets frequently.

Hoey’s career started in corporate law before transitioning to the management side of big law. After that, she co-founded a startup accelerator, took on the CMO role with an emerging tech company and went on to become an author, influencer, investor and professional speaker.
