Auditions set for ECT's next play
Elora Community Theatre has announced auditions for its final show of the 2008-2009 season, The Shortest Distance Between Two Points, by Keith Roulston.
It is a script that looks with humour at a small town whose identity and heritage are threatened by a proposed new highway.
Auditions will take place at St. James Anglican Church, 171 Queen Street East, Fergus, on Jan. 17, at 2pm and Jan. 19, at 7pm. If required, call-backs will be held on Jan. 25, at 7 pm and Jan. 26, at 7 pm.
Director Gary Seibert is looking to cast seven adults. There are roles for six men, aged 20 to 70, and one woman in her 30s. No preparation is required; it will be cold reading of the script. Performance dates are May 1 to 3 and 7 to 9.
Crew members are also being sought for this production.
