Audition call for Shakespeare in the Park
Elora Community Theatre is hosting auditions for its upcoming outdoor summer production of As you like it.
When your life is at risk and you flee court to find refuge in the woods, it is good to have a clown along.
Stepping into the magical Forest of Arden with the fool Touchstone and her cousin Celia, Rosalind disguises herself as a young man. The casting call is for men and women ages 16 to 80. It will be open auditions and those attending are asked to bring a two-minute Shakespearean monologue of their choice. Auditions will take place at the Elora Community Theatre Workshop at 1010 Rivers Edge Drive in West Montrose (corner of Katherine St. and Line 86) on April 8 and 9 at 7pm each night.
