Audition call for new production

Century Theatre Guild will be holding auditions for the thriller, Gaslight, also known as Angel Street, by Patrick Hamilton, directed by Jo Phenix.

Suspense and surprises abound in this classic Victorian thriller.

Under the guise of kindliness, Jack Manningham is torturing his wife into insanity, accusing her of petty aberrations he has arranged himself. Since her mother died of insanity, she is more than half convinced that she, too, is going out of her mind. When a police inspector arrives, there begins a game to convict Manningham of past crimes.

Rehearsals start on March 27 and production dates are May 24 to June 2.

The cast required are two males aged 40+, and three females, ages 17-50.

Auditions take place Jan. 5, beginning at 10am located at Century Church Theatre, 72 Trafalgar Road.
