Attempted robbery
On Sept. 25 at about 6:20am someone tried to steal a backpack of a person walking between Wellington Street East and Durham Street East here.
Police say “the suspect came from behind and attempted to grab his backpack which he had slung over his shoulders. The victim was assaulted but managed to run away with their backpack and call police.”
The suspect is described as a white male, about six feet tall with a medium build, in his early-to-mid-20s with tanned skin and “a five o’clock shadow.” He was wearing a dark grey hoodie with the hood up and blue jeans. He was last seen on Wellington Street East.
