Arts centre has ‘most successful’ holiday fundraiser

ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts is singing the praises of the community and the Skyline Group of Companies for  helping the centre attain its most successful holiday campaign to date.

Skyline agreed to match community donations to a maximum $10,000 and the community stepped up, collectively raising more than $22,000 for the art centre’s community outreach programs.

“Your generosity ensures that our vital outreach programs – from Supportive Arts for Adults with (dis)Abilities to Community Connections through Art for Students with (dis)Abilities – will continue to thrive this year,” stated executive director Lianne Carter in a press release.

Carter said the programs help build self-esteem,  improve mental health and foster a profound sense of belonging, all at little to no cost to participants.

“As we celebrate this milestone, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to each of you, and to our generous friends at Skyline,” she added.

“Thank you for believing in the power of art to transform, and for helping us create a more inclusive and connected community every day.”
