Arthur woman charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm in Feb. 27 crash

WELLINGTON NORTH – Police have now charged an Arthur woman with impaired driving causing bodily harm in connection with a serious crash here recently.

On Feb. 27 at about 5pm, emergency crews responded to a collision involving two vehicles on Highway 6, south of Mount Forest.

Wellington County OPP officials say multiple occupants were injured, with two transported to local hospitals with serious injuries and two airlifted to trauma centres with life threatening injuries.

“The cause of the collision is being investigated,” police stated at the time of the accident, noting the road was closed for several hours.

On March 8, the OPP announced Marijayne Tabitha Michaud, 20, of Arthur, was charged with impaired driving and two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm.

She is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
