Arthur Twisters win Eastern Canadian title

ARTHUR - The U14 Arthur Twisters represented Ontario in New Brunswick at the Eastern Canadian Fastpitch Championship Aug. 22 to 25, and came home champions.

There were 10 teams in the tourney representing Quebec, PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario.

To qualify, Arthur won the silver medal at the Tier 2 A U14 provincial tourney.

They went through the championship undefeated winning the title 13-2 over a Quebec team

The team finished the season with a 38-5 record and made the finals of every tournament it entered

Elsie Post was named tournament MVP.
