Arthur struggling to get fitness classes participants

While it seems there are lots of people in Mount Forest signing up for fitness classes, that does not appear to be the case in Arthur.

Recreation chairman Bob Mason commented on the different participation in the two communities at Monday’s council meeting.

He said that Mount Forest’s program seems to be quite successful, while Arthur’s continues to struggle.

He said that although there is an instructor ready to conduct the class, “if we don’t have enough people signed up by the end of the week, it probably won’t be running.”

Mayor Mike Broomhead hoped everyone would be able to get the word out.

The other question raised is how well the class was advertised. Mason was unsure if there were advertising in local News papers, but said there were notices around town, including at the arena.
