Arthur scene for Saturday night wrestling rumble
ARTHUR – The Arthur Optimists had the local community centre rumbling when they brought 365 Pro Wrestling to town on March 2.
Optimist Greg Roelofsen reported approximately 300 tickets were sold, both online and at the door for the event.
“We’re thrilled with the turnout and community support,” said Roelofsen.
“Proceeds will be used for donations to minor sports, kids clubs and other community events.”
The crowd was especially excited to see the main event, a fight that included hometown favourite, Sammy Sierra.
He defeated Super K and former champ, Wanda Del Ray, to become the new grand champion.
