Arthur man charged in connection to fatal crash
WELLINGTON NORTH - An Arthur man has been charged in connection with a fatal collision between a car and a motorcycle last month.
On June 6 around 2:30 p.m. Wellington County OPP responded to a serious vehicle collision on Wellington Road 14, north of the village of Arthur. Initial reports indicated that a motorcycle and sedan had collided. The operator of the motorcycle, Joey D. Catteau, 51, of Arthur, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The OPP announced on July 8 that the investigation into the accident has concluded. Joseph Raymond Carrier, 62, of Arthur has been charged with Turn not in Safety, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The accused is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on July 25.
