Arthur Lions Club chicken dinner fundraiser sells 600 meals

Fundraiser – The Arthur Lions Club held a chicken dinner at the Arthur and Area Community Centre on Feb. 24 to raise funds for community causes, like the future Brent Barnes Memorial Skatepark. Club member Al Rawlins said 600 meals were sold. At least $10,200 was raised, but expenses haven’t yet been factored in and Rawlins was unable to say how much the club would net. Another dinner fundraiser will be held on April 28.
