Arthur Lawn Bowling club held two tournaments recently
The Arthur Lawn Bowling Club held its second tournament of the season, sponsored by Arthur Senior Citizens Club and John F. Smith Insurance, on June 12, with teams from Chesley, Hanover, Preston, Mount Forest, Beeton and Arthur.
On July 5, the club held its third tournament, sponsored by Cover-Up’s and Coffey Plumbing and Heating. Entries included teams from Chesley, Walkerton, Hanover, Mount Forest, Dundalk and Arthur.
First place was Barb Schuknecht and Bill Dennis from Chesley. Steve and Katie Schuknecht from Chesley got second place. In third was Tom and Janet Garland of Walkerton and in fourth was Sue O’Donnell and Sharon Beer of Arthur.
Barb Eaton and Ken Martin of Walkerton won the consolation prize. The club bowls on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm.
