As part of the town’s 175th anniversary celebrations, the Fergus BIA Art Walk will run on June 28.

For artists, this will be a unique opportunity to show, promote, and sell works to a new set of customers. Organizers encourage all forms of art for this event; painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, jewelry making, pottery, and fabric arts.

Expectations are that artists are aware this is a family event, and to use their best judgment when selecting their works.

The show runs from St. David Street along St. Andrew Street, through to Templin Gardens, over the bridge to the market, and connects back to St. David. Artists will be allocated about 10- by 15-feet.

They should bring equipment and displays necessary for best showing work; not forgetting, sunshades and rain protection. A limited number of tables are available for a nominal fee. Individual insurance and security should be in place.

Set up is between 8 and 10am June 28. The Art Walk will be between 10am and 4pm. There will be students available for additional assistance throughout the day. Maps of the Art Walk including suggestions for parking will be produced and mailed.

For more information contact the Fergus BIA, box 381, Fergus, ON. N1M 3E2, 519-787-1384 or  email fergusbia@golden.net.

Artists should include all personal details and include three sample images of their work, with a self addressed, stamped envelope for return of images, if required.

Also enclose the $30 entry fee; make cheques payable to the Fergus BIA – Art Walk Entries, must be received by April 25.
