Art in the Yard returns July 5 and 6

Art in the Yard is back for its 12th year.

It’s that time of the year again, when all art lovers and curious day trippers come out to visit the two acre property surrounding the Elora Centre for the Arts.

Come out July 5 and 6 between 10am and 5pm, rain or shine and see why this event is a must-do in the village of Elora.

With 50 exhibiting artists working in a wide range of traditional and experimental art forms including: jewelry, stained glass, encaustics, functional pottery, oil and acrylic painting, watercolour, fibre and textile arts, wood, stone and more there is sure to be something for everyone.

Whether looking for a special piece for the home or a unique gift for a friend, this originals-only showcase will provide ample choice.

Artists will be on hand both days to promote their work and answer questions.

Spread out across two-acres of green space on the historical grounds of the Elora Centre for the Arts, Art in the Yard will include live music all weekend long by performers from the Elora Acoustic Café, a free children’s creative area and plenty of room to relax with an organic ice cream cone, coffee and more tasty treats.

Located just minutes from the charming shops and boutiques of the picturesque village and a short stroll to the scenic views of the Elora Gorge, take the day and feel a world away in Elora.

Admission to Art in the Yard is $3 for adults; children are free.

Proceeds go to art programming at the Elora Centre for the Arts, located on the corner of Melville and Mill Streets, in the village of Elora.
