Art in the Yard returns for 14th year

It’s that time of the year again, when all art lovers and curious day trippers come out to visit the two acre property surrounding the Elora Centre for the Arts for Art in the Yard.  

The 14th annual event from July 9 to 10 between 10am and 5pm, rain or shine.

With 40 exhibiting artists working in a wide range of traditional and experimental art forms including jewelry, stained glass, functional pottery, oil and acrylic painting, watercolour, fibre and textile arts, wood and more there is sure to be something for everyone.

This originals-only showcase of art will give visitors ample choice whether their looking for a special piece for their home or a unique gift for a friend.

Artists will be on hand on both days to promote their work and answer all questions.

Spread out across two acres of green space on the historical grounds of the Elora Centre for the Arts, Art in the Yard is enhanced with live musical performances all weekend long by performers from the Elora Acoustic Café, as well as a free children’s creative area and plenty of room to relax with an organic ice cream cone, coffee and more tasty treats.

Located minutes from the charming shops and boutiques of the picturesque village and a short stroll to the scenic views of the Elora Gorge, take the day and feel a world away in Elora.  

Admission to Art in the Yard is by donation.

Proceeds from Art in the Yard go towards the continued art programming at the Elora Centre for the Arts, located on the corner of Melville and Mill Streets, in Elora.
