The Cambridge Galleries will present its 12th annual Art and Antique appraisal day on Sept. 26 from 11am to 5pm at Queen’s Square, 1 North Square.
The fundraising event, conducted by Bonhams Canada, provides the public with a chance to receive verbal appraisals and identification of their fine art and antique items.
All sorts of items can be appraised: Canadian and European paintings, drawings and sculptures; furniture and accessories (photos of larger items are acceptable); china and silver.
Appointments offer the opportunity to meet privately with one of Canada’s foremost experts, who will provide the value of the item and to provide the historical background of the piece.
Proceeds help to support public programs at Cambridge Galleries.
Appointments are now available. They are $14 per item ($12 for members) or three items for $38 ($32 for members).
The categories for Items includes fine art, china and collectibles, and furniture and accessories.
