ARMSTRONG, Robert “Bob”; Passed away peacefully at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Monday, August 1st, 2016. Robert John Armstrong of Moorefield, formerly of Mount Forest, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Lois Armstrong (Tester). Loving father of Donna Howitt and husband Lyle of Arthur, Gail Patchett and husband Howard of Guelph, John Armstrong and wife Carla of Mount Forest and Barry Armstrong and wife Joanne of Guelph. Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Brother of Nancy Cull of Mount Forest, Bev Maurer of Mount Forest, Lorna Bevcar of Fergus, Art Armstrong of Lindsay and Larry and his wife Bev of Bridgenorth. Bob will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Elgin and Christina Armstrong, daughter Judy Williams, brother Ross Armstrong, sister Betty Stevenson and her husband Steve. A memorial service celebrating Bob’s life was held at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 196 Birmingham Street East, Mount Forest on Thursday, August 4th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
