It was with great shock and horror that I read this article. My upset had not to do with the release of these creatures at all, rather, because I had no idea that one of these barbaric, torture houses existed so close to me, and more so that the release of the mink is reported as the crime, and not the fact   that innocent creatures are being tortured, mutilated and murdered for no reason other than pure vanity.The fact that Mr. Hazelwood of the CMBA tries to put a spin, with such hipoccrasy, that the rescuers are somehow doing harm to the mink by saving them from being sodomized with electric rods, and in most cases having their skin torn off of them while still alive and conscious, is absolutely ridiculous. At least the mink have more chance at living in the wild, their natural home, than the ZERO chance they have living on a mink farm. The only reason their population is so high is because they are being forcefully held in wire cages and over bred, because of course more mink equals more money.Mr. Hazelwood also commented on  how historically people  respected the 'integrity' of farms and stayed away without involvement. Please realize that most of the world has evolved to understand that it is needless, cruel and inhumane to torture and murder other creatures for pure vanity, and we see what you are doing as murder. So yes, we see no integrity in that and are going to get involved. Although the archaic laws have not yet caught up with modern wisdom, what is legal and what is ethical are not the same thing, and right now it is the mink farmers who appear to be criminals and morally degenerate to me. To whoever gave those animals their freedom as God intended, you have my respect.
