RE: GRCA develops intervention policy
This policy should really be called  " lack of intervention due to our intervention".
The GRCA is really trying to aviod spending non budgeted funds, due to public outcry on wildlife.
They say the new policy is to let " nature run it's course".  However nature didn't let this osprey be born with a band on it's leg.....the GRCA put it there and if it puts the animals life at risk. it's their respoonsibility.
This all boils down to a non budgeted expense and this new policy is trying to avoid it. In my opinion if you are running a banding programm then they should BUDGET for vetanarian expenses in cases like this where humans are the cause. Don't let " nature take it course" because we forced her/his hand!!
