2014 was a great year for global warming, I mean climate change.  No major hurricanes hit North America.  Nor have any majors hit in the last 9 years, the longest stretch on record.  Tornado occurances were below average for the third straight year.  The Global Drought Index was lower, continuing a 30 year trend in reduction of land area facing drought conditions.
The arctic summer ice didn't disappear as had been predicted, the same can't be said of Great Lakes ice which finally, totally melted by the first week of July.  I assume from the global heat.
The 2014 polar bear count is in and for the sixth straight decade in 60 years their population has increased.  On a bright side, while no species was declared extinct because of global warming (none ever have) we did discover over 200 new life forms we were previously ignorant of.
Sadly there is a down side to all of this.  Subsidies to wind and solar must now increase to 'compete' with cheapening oil prices.  Not to worry tho', I hear there's snow in Buffalo and as such Liberals nationwide are strategizing the ways to tax back any meager savings you may incur.
