Dear,Mayor Neil Driscoll

I  was researching about bad things that ruin the earth.
I did research about plastic bags. I think they are very bad for the environment. Here are some bad things that happen with plastic bags.Plastic bags are not biodegradable, they clog waterways, they also spoil landscapes, and they end up in landfills where they may take 1,000 years or more to break into ever smaller particles that continue to pollute the soil and water.Plastic bags also pose a serious danger to our bird and marine mammals that often mistake them as food. Thousands die after swallowing or choking on them.Instead of selling the plastic bags for 5 cents at the Mapleton grocery stores, you should sell them for $3.That way all the people at the grocery store will buy the reusable bags. You don’t have to but I encourage you to.

									sincerely,
									Ryan
