Dear Editor
If one were to follow Doreen Henschels logic (Nov. 21), then all child soldiers are culpable, all Germans were Nazis, the Geneva Convention is worthless and the rule of law is selective. Let's just lump everyone into categories with no thought given to fact or circumstance; nice, clean, simple minded and heartless. Thankfully, there are those who understand conflict and humankind is more complex.
As for PM Harper manning up with his words, rhetoric is easy, balance and understanding is hard.
