How long will the Advertiser priviledge the views of the “annoyed” anti-wind groups before it simply becomes an extention of their advertising? To those science inclined the recent Health Canada research report confirmed no detmimental health links to humans. Jane Wilson and other fierce NIMBY'ers would never let more thorough research dull their fight for justice. What if these bat loving, bird loving activists and animal proponents (by happenstance) found something truly dirty to complain about? How about the thousands of ducks who happen to fly into the dirty tar sand pools in Alberta? 3 out of 500 survived their layover there not long ago. Leave aside the fact that the Alberta tar sands is really the dirtiest man made structure singlehandedly changing our climate (it can be seen from space). Last week Jeff Cormack, in a letter to the editor, had the gumption to call the worsening of global weather fearmongering because the UN IPCC said so. This panel actually said human invovelment is “extremley likely”, “clear”, and that the warming of the atmosphere and ocean system is “unequivocal”. This real unfortunate  & deletarious effect on our global environment is coming from real pollution – not “annoying” wind turbines. The IPCC confirmed the longer we wait to reduce our emissions the more expensive it becomes. That's annoying.
