Archived Letter - 703

For the last 2 years I have been proud to call fergus my home. It is a nice, safe, kind community. But it has an ugly side. My kindergarten age son planted a tree in the forest on queen st in april. All summer he has nutured it and seen that his efforts helped it grow. However, we discovered the other night that it has ripped up, the sign he left beside it torn to pieces.This was clearly an intentional act.
It saddens me that somne people have so little respect for others that they will destroy a childs hard work.
We will be planting another tree. I sincerly hope the next one is left alone.
