Dear Editor - On behalf of the Elora BIA, I want to publically thank all the amazing volunteers who have come out recently to help us clean up the banks of the Grand River. We are also hugely appreciative to Doug Sherwood and his volunteers from Centre Wellington Hydro for bringing their boom truck and cleaning all the old branches and logs out of the river.  I also want to thank the Township for providing a dumpster and hauling away all of the debris and branches, and the GRCA for controlling the water level to allow the cleanup to happen. Finally, we need to thank Councilor Kirk McElwain for organizing the whole effort. The river is looking mighty fine these days and it is completely through the generosity and kindness of these folks that it is so! Sincerely, Fred Gordon, Administrator, The Elora BIA
