Two weeks ago I received a notice stating that the Town of Minto will be abandoning the old iron water lines. Why should I be upset about this?  Because I am still connected to these water lines
2 years ago the township installed new water lines in my town. I received a letter then stating it was the home owners responsibility to bring the line into their home. So why hasn't this been done?
I am a nearly senior single home owner working full time to make ends meet. I have no more resources today then I did 2 years ago. This is something that is simply unaffordable on my budget.   Have I tried to finance this project?
I have managed to reduce several expenses .... cut off my satellite, cancelled insurance policies, looked into refinancing my mortgage, reduced payments on several bills ... but am still having difficulty making ends meet. Don't believe me. Call all the companies calling monthly looking for payments
I wrote to the township for help. They in turn told me they can't assist me. I called my MPP. They also do not offer financial assistance. I was directed to Ontario Works. Seems my income is too high to be considered
I am not looking for a handout. But I am looking for help to get my water lines connected before the 15th of August.
If anyone has any suggestions or is willing to work with my meager budget, I would be extremely grateful
I can be reached by email at kmgilbertson@yahoo.com or text 519-635-1616
Thank you for reading of my plight
