Dear Editor: Re: UN’s Report on Climate Change- Letters to the editor x 3 -April 25/14
Before Ms. Mathews, Ms. Armstrong and Ms. Dole dive headlong into the arms of the UN, I would urge them to take the time to research  another  aspect of the UN’s plan for  the planet known as Agenda 21.
The fact that the planet hasn’t warmed and the glaciers (150,000) haven’t  melted,  has the UN warning us  daily. Fear mongering is the  method. Unfortunately for the UN, people don’t believe it. Why? Because solid temperature stats gathered over more than 100 years in the UK, Australia, Canada and the US don’t support their claims and people know it.
Here are some of Agenda 21’s more troubling plans:
Move people off private land and into high density urban housing.
Rewilding of vast wilderness spaces with large carnivores: bears, coyotes, wolves, jaguars- check it out at The Rewilding Institute at rewilding.org
Eliminate cars creating “walkable cities”
Use public funds for “sustainable development”
Reduce use of power, water or anything that creates “carbon pollution”. Smart meters monitor usage.
The good of the masses  favored over the individual.
“One child policies” as in China.
Increase regulations, fees and taxes.
Use regional governments to gradually implement    “sustainable development” .
Remember Maurice Strong? He is a billionaire and the former head of Ontario Hydro. He became the Executive Director of UNEP, United  Nations Environmental  Programme,  in 1973 and now resides in China. Here’s a telling quote from Maurice: “Frankly, we may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for the industrial civilization to collapse”!! Now, ask yourself, how does that help the economy? There’s much, much more. Don’t take my word for it, check it out for yourself.
