Dear Editor:
First off I want to say that I have respect for the handicapped community and mean no disregard to them , but I am concerned with the use of mobility scooters, which come with 3 and 4 wheels. These scooters are designed to be driven on sidewalks and inside stores and are a wonderful advantage to those that have trouble getting around .
That being said , the use of these scooters on the roadways and parking spaces of Fergus and other communities is a safety hazzard to all those around them and we as a community should discourge this and encourage the police to enforce the laws that exist to keep the roadways safe.
